Secure the Texas Grid Coalition: Join the Conversation

In a Zoom meeting this Wednesday the 24th @ 9am, the Secure the Texas Grid Coalition will be discussing what was accomplished in Houston at the Texas GOP state convention and steps to prepare for the work ahead.

While the convention in Houston was a success, the work moves forward. We will now be talking next steps in preparation for the legislative session as well as preparing for the PUCT hearing this Thursday the 25th @ 9:30 in Austin. We are asking for people to show up and share their stories if able and to not let the lobbyists speak for us!

About the Secure the Texas Grid Coalition

The Secure the Texas Grid Coalition is a dedicated subdivision of the national Secure the Grid Coalition, a non-partisan alliance of policy experts, energy professionals, legislators, and national security specialists committed to fortifying America's electrical infrastructure. Focused on Texas, our initiative educates stakeholders and collaborates with state and local government entities to safeguard the electric grid as a cornerstone of critical infrastructure. By addressing vulnerabilities from natural disasters, such as extreme weather events, and adversarial threats, including cyberattacks and enemy infiltration, we advocate for resilient policies, enhanced physical and cyber protections, and proactive emergency planning to ensure uninterrupted power for Texas communities and the broader economy.
