✔️The Texas Constitution contains spending caps. One way for legislators to get around these spending caps is to offer amendments to the Constitution. This allows them to still get the programs they want without having to stay within budget caps. Instead of changing our Constitution, we want lawmakers to cut waste and spending in areas not appropriate to the duty of government to make room for spending on the most important issues we face.
