June 4, 2026: Movie Night - Establishment vs. Conservatives
We were unable to host a livestream for this meeting due to copyright restrictions, but we are sharing the videos we watched below along with detailed meeting notes. Be sure to share this page with a friend!
A GOP-majority Texas House saw its Speaker choice overturned by Democrats and a few Republicans, shifting state power. “Hijacked?” exposes how Democrats helped choose the Texas House Speaker in the 89th Texas Legislative Session, redistributing power in one of the state’s most influential roles. By sharing this information, Conservatives can help reclaim the Texas House!
The story of a 2025 election in Blanco County takes place just South of the birthplace of one of the most well-known creators of power in U.S. history. Kicking the Circle, a story about entrenched local political power.

Establishment vs. Grassroots
Only 17% of registered Republican voters participated in the Primary Election and only 10% participated in the Primary Runoff.
We need to grow the grassroots!
Send the videos above to a friend to help them understand why it’s critical for us to get more Conservatives involved in holding our elected officials accountable.
Many of our loved ones still have their heads in the sand. Start a list of people you know you can influence to vote in the November Midterms. Start with a goal of 10 people.
City of Conroe Runoff Election
MCEF Member, Betty Boren-Avery, shared that only 1% of Conroe registered voters have participated in the City of Conroe Municipal Judge Runoff thus far.
Conroe residents, please remind your friends and neighbors to get to the polls for this election. This is a magistrate position, very important in our local government!
Candidate Jay Gross is endorsed by Texas Eagle Forum.

Conservatives for Conroe ISD
Candidate for Conroe ISD Board of Trustees, Rod Hammer, spoke about the importance of preserving our liberties in our county and across Texas. Learn more about his campaign and the conservative slate of candidates running alongside him at https://www.conservativesforconroeisd.com/.
Steve Toth for Congressional District 2
Braden Deckard, District Director for Rep. Toth, shared that Rep. Toth has a well-funded Democrat opponent (Shaun Finnie) in the November midterms. Finnie is an investment banker who ran unopposed in the Democrat Primary. Part of Congressional District 2 is in Harris County, so it is vital for Montgomery County to start working now to get out the vote for Rep. Toth for Congress.
Action Alert! Final Vote on Texas Social Studies TEKS
Chaplain Patricia Spore shared that the final vote on Texas Social Studies TEKS is anticipated to be held on held on June 23 with in-person testimony on June 22.
Conservative Christians need to get loud on this issue to drown out competing voices from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a prominent Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization. CAIR is trying to rewrite our history books to teach our kids that our history is Islamophobic.
If you’d like to join Chaplain Spore in Austin on June 23 to cover the vote in prayer, please fill out our Contact Us form and she will get back to you with details.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

July 2nd MCEF Meeting
American by Choice: Celebrating America’s 250th
Experience the inspiring stories of two immigrants who left their home countries to find freedom and a future in America. They will share powerful lessons about the value of liberty and the importance of preserving it as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday.
Helen Erickson is a Chinese immigrant and proud American who will compare the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture to the present Marxist movement in the USA. Helen was one of our keynote speakers in 2021 and faithfully serves at the welcome table every month for Montgomery County Eagle Forum.
Martin Etwop was born and raised in Uganda during the height of its civil war and HIV epidemic. He is now a practicing attorney, fighting for fellow Texans against government overreach and against leftists using lawfare to intimidate Americans from freely exercising their rights. Martin was a candidate for Congressional District 2 in the Republican Primary Election.
The survival of our Republic depends on the vigilance, virtue, and active participation of the people. It is not self-sustaining. It requires ongoing effort to preserve liberty, institutions, and civic responsibility against decay, corruption, or tyranny. It is a very small sacrifice for us to get fellow Conservatives to the polls!
“A republic, if you can keep it.” —Benjamin Franklin
