Remembering Charlie Kirk
September 10, 2026 | Austin, TX
From your national, Texas, and Montgomery County Eagle Forum chapters
One year ago today, Americans lost a fearless warrior. Charlie Kirk shared his profound love for America in hostile places, showing his fellow patriots how a Believer can speak the truth without apology or fear. He lived his life as though every day mattered and left us a blueprint for how we can be game-changers, too.
Eagles from across the nation were in Washington, D.C., on that terrible day as part of our annual Eagle Council. Our Texas delegation happened to be in the center of the Library of Congress when we got word of a shooting involving Charlie Kirk; we gasped, prayed, and returned to the House office buildings. As the news grew grim, the crowds got quieter. People were praying in small groups, heartbroken.
Some of our members were in the gallery of the House of Representatives and watched Democrat-led chaos ensue as Speaker Mike Johnson attempted to lead a prayer for Charlie Kirk after his assassination. Heartbreaking in more ways than one.
Join us today as we continue to support Charlie's beloved family through prayer. Ask God how you can help carry the torch Charlie left us. Eagle Forum will continue to pursue freedom and the traditional family values that made America the greatest civilization on this earth.
Today, we remember the legacy of Charlie Kirk and pray for his family and the millions of lives he touched.
We vow to continue our 54-year legacy of Faith, Family, and Freedom. We pray that you will join us.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
