2026 Primary Candidate Forums
In preparation for the 2026 Primary Election, Montgomery County Eagle Forum (MCEF) will, once again, be conducting Candidate Forums for contested local races at Grace Woodlands Church.
➡️ Forum Dates: The Forums will be held on five consecutive Thursday nights beginning January 8th.
➡️ Forums Content: To give candidates adequate time to present their campaigns, we will hold two (or at most three) Forums for contested races each night.
➡️ NEW THIS YEAR! As in the past, the questions will come from the audience. What’s new is that the questions will be read by the MCEF Moderator instead of attendees.
We’re making this change to eliminate past issues where those asking questions have occasionally used everyone’s time to make political statements, or as a platform for personal attacks. The MCEF team will pre-screen submitted questions to filter out such abuses.
➡️ Forums Schedule To Come! Candidate filing ended December 8th. MCEF will publish the Forums schedule in mid-December showing which races will be featured on each of the five Thursdays.
