Pass the SAVE Act

Dear Patriots...if you believe the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act must be passed to restore trust in U.S. elections, continue reading.

The SAVE America Act is stalled in the U.S. Senate. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday that President Trump’s patience with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) and Senate Republicans is running low over the chamber’s inability to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act.

“His patience is running out. He wants to see as much of the SAVE America Act passed as possible by the August recess,” Leavitt told reporters. “He knows that’s what the American people want to see passed.”

Trump has repeatedly called on Senate Republicans to pass the legislation, despite Thune saying the party does not have the votes to pass the bill. Trump has also urged Senate Republicans to eliminate the parliamentary procedure known as the filibuster, which would allow the party to pass the bill by a simple majority. However, Thune and Republican leadership are not in favor of scrapping the filibuster.
